Mission:
Christine’s “hands-on” approach to business is unique, and offers a personal touch in today’s faceless fashion industry; likewise, it is this philosophy that has been directly translated into each and every beautiful piece of lingerie and loungewear. For instance, the entire manufacturing process of her collection is undertaken locally & on a small scale in order to assure couture qualit
y in craftsmanship. Christine Lingerie continues to design for our sophisticated customer who has an appreciation for luxurious fabrications and a discriminate eye for couture detail and art as fashion. Company Overview:
Following her fashion design studies at Columbia College in Vancouver, Christine Morton established a custom-design business specializing in silk lingerie and loungewear. These one-of-a-kind creations eventually evolved into a limited edition collection. By 1973, under the label Christine and Company, she was the first to launch a silk line of lingerie in Canada. After over 30 years in business, Christine maintains her dedication to detail and promise to the quality workmanship that has become synonymous with her name. Her passion for exquisite lace and luxurious silk is still her main source of design inspiration. Thus, she works with many of the world's oldest manufacturers to reproduce antique laces and select signature patterns and prints for fabrication. Today, focused on lingerie and loungewear, Christine’s pieces are sold world wide. Her designs are sought after by specialty shops and catalogues for exclusive “Private Label” collections. Her customer list includes many well-known names and retailers, some of whom have been collecting her pieces since the beginning.
