Moving sucks. Cardboard boxes that disintegrate mid-carry suck worse. Especially in Vancouver...

built a better system over the past two decades; reusable boxes, sustainable solutions, and the crazy idea that moving doesn't have to destroy the planet.

Over 6 million cardboard boxes. That's how many potential cardboard boxes they've been able to eliminate with their reusable rental boxes.
Here's an even crazier stat: those 6 million boxes would have needed enough tape to go back and forth to the moon 48 times! That's a lot of tape not used.

Customers rave about their boxes. Everybody loves the environmental impact. Turns out doing the right thing and being good at your job aren't mutually exclusive.

It's a while ago now, but we overhauled everything except the logo; visual identity, mascot MAX the frog, vehicle fleet wrap, video animations, new website, product shoots and much more.

Sustainable. Reliable. Zero moon tape. That's how we like it!

Icons don’t get the glory they deserve. They’re the unsung heroes, really.

Custom iconography sneaks brand personality into everyday applications people actually use, like signs and wayfinding. They’re tiny brand ambassadors that keep popping up, reminding us what brand universe we’re in.

Custom iconography turns a brand into one that feels intentional everywhere it shows up. Like this set I created for a client a few years back.

Feel right, not just look good.

Vancouver based photographer work is a kaleidoscope of imagination, where photography mixes with illustration, animation, and boundless possibility. She turns the mundane into ”wait, what the heck am I looking at?” Do check out her work.

Creating the identity and visual language for the 2.0 version of her artistry was a good design challenge. We didn’t want the new identity to overtake her work, but rather to reflect the work and to naturally live alongside it.

The identity is not random. gave us a killer strategy to work from, built around phrases like ”connecting the unexpected”, ”transforming the ordinary into extraordinary”, and ”imagination realized”.

What excites me most about the project is that Emily trusted us to push past safe, and she gave us the freedom to explore directions that felt right, not just looked good. That takes guts from a client.

I truly believe that’s a key ingredient in any good design. And strategy. Or soup.

Can’t believe it’s been 10+ years since I designed the Big Slice Apples pouches with .rhythm.brand for Grandma Hoerner’s… and the design is STILL out there doing its thing.

What I loved about this project was that it was very innovative for its time. It was the only product of its kind packaged this way on the American market.

It’s pretty cool seeing something you made a decade ago still holding up. But that’s what happens when you have a visionary client with a great product and a mean strategy to work from.

Here’s to the things we made in the past that refuse to give up!

Can’t believe it’s been 10+ years since I designed the Big Slice Apples pouches with .rhythm.brand for Grandma Hoerner’s… and the design is STILL out there doing its thing.
