Mark of Gastown wearing his new Desigual “Fancy Plaid” cotton shirt that arrived yesterday in our latest shipment.
It was layers of squares loosely embroidered over a contrasting plaid colour.
There’s a lot of sewing to create this shirt, part of the Desigual Summer 2026 collection for men, though the style is unisex.
All Desigual is on sale 30% to 50% off at Angel, Vancouver’s only Desigual store.
Desigual is a creative Barcelona clothing line known for bold colours and desigual.
It has 100 designers, including famed Parisian Christian Lacroix, who began his collaboration with Desigual in 2011.
Desigual has 200 stores worldwide, including Paris, Berlin, Munich, Brussels, Rome, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona and Vancouver (us).
Angel was started in 1978 by Vancouver artist Jackie Haliburton, who still works seven days a week at her store at 2 Powell in an 1886 building currently undergoing a restoration (there is scaffolding around the building but we’re open 11-6 Monday to Thursday, 11-7 Friday and Saturday, noon to six Sunday.
The first World Cup games are taking place this weekend in Vancouver, one of the host cities.
Today Canadian fans attended Gastown bars and restaurants to watch on big-screen TVs as Canada ended their first game (played in Toronto) with a 1-1 tie with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
