Meet Chikae, the brilliant mind behind the ever-evolving canvas of her artistic journey. Our paths crossed on Instagram years ago, and I’ve been in awe of her creative odyssey ever since.

From floral design to photography to painting to repurposing furniture, Chikae is a jack of all trades, fearlessly navigating the vast sea of artistic exploration. Her journey has taken unexpected turns, proving that true passion knows no boundaries.

We know that an artist’s path is a constant struggle, but Chikae demonstrates that this journey is not one of starvation — hunger for art is a feast for the soul.

Her upcoming project “Little Black Book” (18 years in the making!) is an online museum of resources to inspire us to live more intuitively. The women around me continue to leave an indelible mark in the creative realm. Yet, they are often not acknowledged enough for the work they put out. Through their artistic prowess, many creative women have redefine genres, provoke thought, and pave the way for future generations.

For this series of photograph, I hope to not only capture the artists, but also recognize the impact their craft has made in our community.
