This beauty needed a little resizing after some shrinkage, so its owner took the opportunity to give it a style update too!

We added a western brim, refreshed the fl**ge on the back of the brim, changed the ribbon color and collaborated on a more functional fan bow that still felt soft and feminine.

This hat wasnā€™t very old, but after some weight loss, it no longer fit properly.

While we had it on the bench, he decided to make a few style changes too. New crown and brim shape and trimmed the brim down to 4ā€.

Most important, wasnā€™t the new shape, it was the fit. Heā€™d always had to stuff the sides of his hats to make them fit. Now it fits all the way around.

If youā€™ve got a hat you like but the fit or style isnā€™t quite right anymore, thereā€™s often more that can be done than people realize.

Finally got my neon sign hung up in the shop!

ā€œLong Live Cowgirlsā€ has been waiting for its spot, and now I get to flip it on every morning when I walk into the shop. Itā€™s the perfect way to start the day.

And while the sign says Long Live Cowgirls, Iā€™ve got to give a big shoutout to the cowboys too. You all are the heart of this business, and Iā€™m so grateful for every one of you who trusts me with your hats and keeps me going.

This Hat Doctor Pure Beaver custom hat came back for a change of direction. As per his request, we gave it a completely different profile with a new crown and brim shape, while bringing the original hitched horsehair band back to life with a careful clean and refresh.

Itā€™s always rewarding when a hat can grow with its owner instead of being replaced.

This wall might just be my favorite things in the shop.

Every photo has made the trip from Hat Doctor to Hat Doctor over the years, carrying a little piece of the journey with it. It brings so much life to the space and reminds me that this business has always been about more than just hats.

I added one new piece of my own, a feather from Etched Justjan in Merritt, BC. Feathers have always had a way of finding me, with the meaning I love most being ā€œfriends of a feather flock togetherā€

Hereā€™s to good people, great stories, and filling these walls with even more memories. šŸ¤ šŸŖ¶
