Same outfit, completely different look.

We’ve changed just one piece from our previous look, swapping the quilted Lavenham jacket for the Hazel Stadium Jacket from Canadian brand Outclass, and it’s given the whole outfit a different feel.

A little fresh air, a little countryside, and some classic fall layering.

There’s a fitting connection between this look and our four-legged friend. British heritage brand Lavenham began in 1969 making quilted horse blankets before bringing that same craftsmanship to jackets and outerwear. More than 50 years later, their signature quilting is still made in Suffolk, England.

Underneath, we’ve paired Peregrine’s textured Hudson jumper with an Eton denim shirt and Naked & Famous Weird Guy jeans, made in Canada from premium Japanese denim.

Finishing things off are Derby boots from Sanders, another British classic with a shoemaking heritage dating back to 1873.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we encourage everyone to take some time to listen, learn, reflect and honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families and the children who never returned home.

Outlooks will be open for reduced hours today for anyone who has a last minute purchase or pickup.

There are also some important events happening around Victoria today, including the South Island Powwow at Royal Athletic Park from 10 AM to 7 PM, with Grand Entry at noon.

Later in the day, a First Nations Fashion Show will take place at 4 PM at the Inner Harbour’s Lower Causeway, featuring Indigenous youth, ribbon skirts, Cowichan knits and designs from Indigenous artists.

We encourage you to take part in the events happening in our community today, wear orange, and spend some time listening and learning.

We’ll return to regular hours tomorrow.
