If you’ve been on a microplastics rabbit hole, you know the feeling… like you need to replace your whole life overnight. But it shouldn’t be like that.
At , we’re big on starting with small swaps that make a real difference. Rachel and Jesse (our co-founders) began by simply noticing what actually touches the skin all day, and choosing (or creating) a better option.
A few easy ones:
🍽️ Cutting boards: plastic sheds into food. Wood or bamboo.
🫖 Tea bags: many “silky” ones are plastic mesh. Loose leaf or paper.
🚰 Water bottle: glass or stainless steel.
🧽 Sponges: synthetic breaks down fast. Natural fiber brush.
👱🏾♀️ Hair ties: often synthetic rubber/plastic, sitting on your scalp for hours. Organic cotton + natural rubber is an easy upgrade.
Not trying to be perfect, but just a little more intentional with what’s closest to the body and food.
📣 And BY THE WAY: for , we’ve got a huge announcement. We’re bringing together all-natural and plastic-free brands + nonprofits reducing plastic pollution to spotlight what’s working and inspire lower-plastic living.
What’s one swap you made without making it a whole thing?
