Another project for a friend, this one I have been wanting to build for years. I will say I love the bright colors of this suit, and how well my first attempt at a "horse hair" plumed helmet came out.

Over the Christmas season some friends and I take part in crazy, over the top Secret Santa. No limits, nothing is off the table. This past year I made a suit for some one new.

I went for a simple overall pattern, with a large raven tooled into the back.

The scales are all attacked. Only a little more antiquing then they are done. (The lighting makes the top side look way more blue than normal)

So things have been happening over the last few days, it just all looks the same. Cut, deburr, slick, stamp, and dye scales.

So plans changed.

The idea was to remove the old skirt, and replace it with another scaled one from Black Raven Armoury. But the old belt backing is just to short. Looking at it more the belt in the pattern has more adjustability.

So another material order later or the missing hardware I should have everything I need for Sunday.

New shoulders are attached. The buckles are now hidden under the top plate. The old hardware is also replaced with Chicago Screws letting the plates move way easer.

After years of neglect, the Knight Commander suit out and getting a ton of love and updates over the next week and a half. I'm so excited for this project!

What's changing, well we'll see very soon.

After a hiatus I'm back with the finished shoulders. I really like the shape they have.
