🧵 A little creativity stitched with care — right here in Downtown Welland

A little while ago, I created a patch that reflects some of the values I try to bring into my life and community work: care, compassion, and fun.

Thanks to Doris at Enchanted Embroidery Designs Welland on East Main Street, that design became something I could wear. She helped convert the image into a format that could be embroidered and brought it to life.

As a city councillor, I always appreciate the creative talent and small business spirit that exists in our downtown. Whether it’s for a personal project, community group, or team gear — it’s inspiring to see what local businesses can make possible.

We’re fortunate in to have several embroidery and custom design shops. I’ve highlighted others before, and today giving another DT business a shout out!

I’ve since had the chance to wear the vest to a few events, and I love that it sparks conversation — and often a smile. We could all use a bit more of that.
