It’s been a hot minute and a wild fall! School has been taking just about my everything (I’m now in my third teaching assignment in 2.5 months, now online 😬). I haven’t added anything new to my poor, neglected shop, but have been doing the odd project when I can! Today I whipped up some golden glitter red bunting to add some Christmas spirit to our kitchen dining area. Here’s a little peek! 🍑

There’s a fair number of new people following me here, so I figured it’s time for a little introduction! I’m Kara, owner & creator of Sweet Peach Stitchery Co. 👋 I’ve been sewing since I was a kid (taught by my mama & baba), but Sweet Peach Stitchery just began in June of this year with the intention of selling baby bows & fabric bunting and has quickly morphed into mostly masks! 😷

Aside from being a sewist, I’m mama to my three wonderful littles 👧👦👦 (and one fur baby 🐶), wife to my husband of 10.5 years ❤️, teacher of French 👩‍🏫(just got keys to my new school today!), chocoholic 🍫 (but it must be dark), thrift shopper extraordinaire 🛍(nothing beats the thrill of the hunt... if I had time I would love to share my spoils on a dedicated insta account), wedding photographer 📷 (David + Kara Wedding Imagery) and travel addict 🌍 (when there isn’t a pandemic happening).

It’s a little crazy at our house. But my sewing setup is in the kitchen and I’m productive when I get time to myself (thanks, David!!). I’ll be slowing down posting (and making) as the school year ramps up, but for now, sewing is keeping me sane in the midst of all the (many) current unknowns! 🤯

Thanks for following along with my sewing adventures and for your wonderful support. 🙏 I seriously have the best customers ever; my little idea of Sweet Peach Stitchery Co. has become more than I could’ve imagined! Just keep sewing, just keep sewing... 🍑
