From Ashes to Action 🔥❤️

Piggybacking on my dear friend ‘s idea, and starting another HBK fundraiser!

Our downtown community has been deeply impacted by the recent fire, affecting local businesses and the apartments above them. These are more than buildings — they’re livelihoods, homes, and neighbors.

To help support those affected, I’ll be selling $5 spots for a chance to win a $50 gift card to my small business, HBK Bows. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward helping those impacted as they work to rebuild what was lost.

Every scrunchie has a story — and this one comes straight from the heart. 💜

This is our fourth year running our fundraiser for our local children’s hospital, the IWK, in honor of my daughter Baylee, who has bravely undergone five open-heart surgeries. Baylee was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Unbalanced AVSD (Atrioventricular Septal Defect).

An Unbalanced AVSD means the center of the heart didn’t form properly. There are holes between the heart’s chambers, and one side of the heart is smaller and weaker than the other( In Baylee’s case her right side is bigger). Because of this, her heart doesn’t pump blood normally, and children with this condition often require multiple open-heart surgeries to reroute blood flow and help the heart function as best as possible.

The IWK has been there for us through every surgery, and every scary moment even though Baylee has received four of her open heart surgeries at . This fundraiser is our way of giving back to the place that has given our family so much.

When you purchase a scrunchie, you’re supporting life-saving care for heart warriors just like Baylee. Thank you for supporting our girl, our family, and our local children’s hospital. 💜
