"I always loved finding vintage stores and I quickly realized that good fitting, high quality denim were the hardest items to come by. For years I would get so excited when I came across vintage denim, even though I could rarely ever make a purchase because they were almost never in my size. This inspired me to branch out and find other ways to collect and source vintage denim. I learned that I had a good eye and the motivation that would have to come with searching for these products. I decided to start collecting all styles and sizes and share my excitement for these gems with others. I started 'Carly's Closet' where I hosted and attended local pop-up shops. It was a success and motivated me to re-brand and launch BLUEM.

The second motive I had for this business, actually should have been the first; our planet. The more I branched out in order to hunt for products, the more I was surrounded by endless amounts of clothing waste. This opened up my eyes (and slapped me in the face) to the awful effects the clothing industry, especially the process of manufacturing new denim has on our planet, our health, and our way of life.

I'm happy to share the love of vintage clothing and sustainable living with likeminded people like you.
