SEE YOU LATER, PUDGY PALS! ❤️ Read more here. ⬇️

This weekend was Pudgy’s last gig since closing the physical shop location, and we spent it . It was a heckin great time and we chatted with a lot of pals. Thanks to everyone who bought a tee, a thing, or both!

Many folks asked what’s next for Pudgy…the truth is, we don’t know (yet). We feel warm and fuzzy each time you ask, and we’re sorry we don’t have a solid answer (yet).

We’re taking a little break to do our thing. We’re taking all the lessons we’ve learned and we’ll recover, slow and steady as we go.

Meantime, we still have a bunch of tees, toys, and things on our website, check em out! We would love to clear out as much of the items we have left as we can, and we’ll even drop them off at your doorstep if you need us to! Please note that all gender gear are already out of stock and we won’t be ordering in any more at this time. ❤️

We know we've been quiet on socials but we promise we're still here. Take a lil swipe to see what we've been up to and where you can find us next.

You can shop online at www.pudgyplus.com to snag some good stuff from the comfort of your own home. 20% off gender gear. 30% off everything else. Pick-up in store March 28 or 29, or we can deliver it for free anywhere in Winnipeg.

March 28 + 29 are our final days in-store days. Come say hi, ask us all your burning questions, and feel the thrill of saving 20-30%.
March 28 - 12pm to 6pm
March 29 - 12pm to 5pm

The first 2 hours of each date will be mask-mandated. Hours after will be mask-recommended. We will have masks at the shop if you forget yours.

WE WROTE YOU A (LOVE) LETTER.

Pudgy was, has been, and is an ever evolving community resource project. We’ve restructured a few times and we opened our experimental tiny, little, small, small shop months ago with the pleasure and gender gear expansion.

Throughout everything, we have learned so many things, one of the biggest lessons: we’re not businesspeople/entrepreneurs (if you will) - we are educators, community members, and anti-capitalists. And, always will be.

We are also people with chronic pain. Chronic pain and disability have taught us a lot, too. It’s real, humbling, vulnerable, and honest. We can talk about this for ages, but we won’t keep you for long.

Here’s the short of it:
Our little shop at 433 Graham Ave will be closing, but we will be restructuring and refocusing on being an anti-capitalist, educational resource. To do this, we need to let go of some aspects of Pudgy, one of which is the store. But, before we leave the shop behind we will have some sale dates (see next slide).

Pudgy is not leaving, our shop will close but we will come back in a different form. BUT, before we can do any of our restructuring, before we can reimagine what Pudgy’s purpose and future can look like, we need to rest, heal, and love ourselves (and our bodies) back to health. ❤️

It’s a love letter for you. A grateful little love note to say “thank you”. It’s also not a goodbye. It’s a realignment, a much needed honouring of our values and ourselves, which are our greatest resources.

We hope to come back with a much larger vision of how Pudgy can be a resource to you. If you have any ideas you want to share or any hopes, dreams, wants, needs from a community resource, we want to hear from you (DM or email us). ❤️

❤️ WILL YOU BE OUR VALENTINE? ❤️ Two big things— ONE: we’re popping up tomorrow, Feb. 14 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm, so catch us there hanging out with our F&E pals. The shop will be closed.

TWO: Our fave .the.goods whipped us some beautiful, beautiful salves for us - an atrophy relief salve, and a tape aftercare salve. These are available at the shop, online, AND we’re bringing them w/us to F&E so you can grab some at the pop-up! We even have tester sizes so you can try them first (if you have commitment issues). But TRUST us when we say, you’ll likely be back for more! ❤️

BURNOUT / CHRONIC PAIN / DISABILITY/ DREAMING OF HOLDING BABY ANIMALS: This is probably one of the realest talks you’ll hear from us - we’re burnt out. And the only thing we want to do rn is rest and cuddle baby animals. 🥲

ICYDK: our entire Pudgy operation is run by a two-person team (as pictured, with the sweet lil babies). Both of us have day jobs (yes, multiple), community work, an art practice on hiatus, chronic pain, disabilities - you get the gist. Needless to say babes, we’re running on fumes. 😔

Please bear with us. We have many things we’re running behind on, many things we want (or thought we want) to do, many things we probably can’t do, and some things we likely need to reconfigure with running Pudgy. ❤️

For right now, this is what we know (and some things may change): we’re open tomorrow from 12pm-6pm, Friday is TBD (popping up somewhere most likely) and Saturday 12pm-5pm (unless the weather says otherwise). We hope to see you at the shop or online!

ARE YOU A LE***AN? This meme has nothing to do with what we’re about to say because what we have to say is this — note our shop hours this week, we probably have some news to share, and we have some new rad stuff on our shelves (that we wanted to intro three days ago but we got busy and forgot).
