🌼Cute and collectible late 1950's sack dress with button down closure and pleated backside with bow detail.
The sack dress was a revolutionary fashion trend pioneered by high-end designers in the late 1950's offering an avante-garde design that abandoned the fitted silhouette of the time.
The style was quickly embraced by the public and mass produced.
Highly controversial and criticized for challenging the societal norms of how a woman's body should be displayed, the short-lived trend fell out of peak fashion by the late 50's but paved the way for less restrictive, free flowing fashions of the 60's.
Excellent condition, laundered and ready to wear again.
