It IS possible to over grease your bearings. Here are some possible results:
1) This can cause grease seals to fail and leak into the brake drum. Grease soaked brake lining cannot be cleaned and will need to be replaced.
2) Bearings need space for the grease to expand. If there’s no room, heat may build up causing seals to fail and internal pressure to build
3) Grease could push past the dust cap attracting dirt and debris and making a mess of the tires.

The trailer industry recommends checking them every 10,000 - 12,000kms. Not sure if your bearings are in good shape? Let us take a look.
