Thursday July 16th 20:42 NFD were called out to an MVC with injuries on Hwy 55 2 miles east of the Tobin Lake turn off. This was the second call of the day after a power pole fire earlier that afternoon behind Oxford Dental. This was the depts 3rd MVC in less than 4 days and 2nd with injuries requiring EMS transport. It was also the 2nd deer strike this week. We now sit at 115 calls for the year. Nipawin Fire remind motorists to drive with extra caution this time of year as many animals have young ones and are just starting to venture across the roads.
