It’s never really about the clothes. It’s about the people.
The people who make them.
The people who wear them.
The people who inspire them.

Today, I’m introducing Bourgogne, our newest colour. A deep, rich burgundy that feels timeless, confident and a little bit French. And I’m introducing someone new to our Anne Mulaire family: MĆØlia. MĆØlia Sarrasin

MĆØlia is from our community, an entrepreneur, and the founder of Ambrozia Business Assistance Winnipeg Personal Assistance & Concierge . A business built around helping busy professionals make more space for their own impact. There’s something really special about seeing women wearing our clothes while building lives and businesses of their own.

That’s what I want this next chapter to be about.
Not just fashion.
People.
Stories.
Connection.

Bienvenue, MĆØlia. šŸ¤Žā€ØBienvenue, Bourgogne.

The Land Remembers Chapter II is here.
And a whole lot of beauty coming your way.

Some choices don’t need a headline to make sense. We’ve designed, cut, and sewn everything right here in Canada since day one, not because it was trendy, but because we believed it would matter. Today, we’re glad we did. šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

Here’s something people probably don’t expect to hear from a designer and founder: I get completely stuck sometimes. Creative blocks are very real for me. And lately, running two businesses, they seem to happen more often than I’d like to admit.
I often get asked, ā€œWhere do you get your inspiration?ā€ The truth? Almost anywhere. And from everything. A tiny detail, an experience, a place… sometimes something so small that you almost miss it. That’s one of the reasons I love to travel. It gets me out of my usual routine and gives my brain permission to wander again.

Copenhagen did exactly that. Ƈa ouvre l’esprit. It made me look, notice, question and imagine differently. Because I’ve learned that inspiration isn’t something you can force. Sometimes you have to step away from what you know before you can see what’s possible.

And sometimes… you just need a trip with your sis. šŸ¤

Straight off the runway and onto the street. šŸ–¤
Every look, up close. Every stitch, intentional.

What a night. šŸ’œ So grateful to have shared this stage with incredible MĆ©tis designers Amy Lynn, EVAN DUCHARME & Robyn McLeod, in a show designed by Sacha Jammu, every detail intentional, every piece with a story.

For me, this collection is a journey that starts long before the runway. Every piece is hand-painted in collaboration with mon papa, David. I bring him the story, the sketch, what I’m hoping to say with the print and together we shape it until it becomes something only his hands can paint. He’s been a humble artist his whole life. We grew up surrounded by his paintings in our home. And people always ask where my creativity comes from. It’s in his blood and now in mine.

Also, I wanted to tell you that the short clip of music you are listening to was composed by my twin, MJ!!!! a piece from her new album 🤫 not yet released. So proud of her, and so lucky to have her creativity a part of this moment.

Maarsii to everyone who made this possible. This is just the beginning.

This is what I want to see more of: handmade and vintage given real space on the shopping strips, not tucked away. In Denmark and Sweden, they’re woven right in with the big brand stores, so anyone passing through discovers them naturally. I have to imagine it’s the same across Europe.

Most brands want you to buy more. I’m asking you to bring stuff back. Canadians throw out about a billion pounds of clothing and fabric every year and roughly 85% of it goes straight to the landfill. Per person, that’s around 81 pounds a year. So we decided to expand our resale program and create ENCORE: a program with two spaces: Anne Mulaire Resale, your pieces come home and renewed, and the Community Closet, curated finds from makers you admire. Every piece, a second life. What do you think?

Morgan Morgan Holmstrom ! These photos. šŸ¤ Thank you for wearing our Birch Couture Dress to the Ancestral Beasts šŸ“½ļø Fantasia Festival premiere and looking absolutely stunning doing it. Seeing MĆ©tis representation on a red carpet like this means everything! (Hand-painted by my dad, by the way)
And there’s something extra special about this one for me, you modeled for us back in 2016-2017, and now here you are, all these years later, wearing one of our dresses on the red carpet. I feel so honoured to be a part of one of your special events. That circle coming back around means a lot to me.

Here’s the part that gets me every time: this dress has already been worn a few times, premieres, galas, fashion shows, milestones… it’s been there for all of it, and every time someone wears it, it picks up another chapter. And that’s the part I love. What if we started believing more that good pieces were never meant to be worn once, that they’re meant to be lived in, again and again, encore et encore. ā¤ļø
The thought that we should be rewearing pieces. On the red carpet- At weddings- At every event….Wear it twice. Five times. Every time it makes you feel like yourself, but more.

So consider this your permission slip: rewear it. šŸ˜‰

Some pieces just have a way of making life feel a little softer. Quietly become part of your life. For me these two pieces are mon soleil blouse and la voyage skirt. They’re the ones I reach for every summer, spring, fall and every time I travel. That’s the kind of clothing I’ve always wanted to create. Not something you wear once, but something you come back to, again and again.
Et Oui! Every piece is cut and sewn here in Winnipeg by hands I know and trust.šŸ¤

Look at them. Now look at your tank. Now back at them.
Sadly, your tank isn’t reversible. šŸ˜‰
Our team had way too much fun showing off the Rosalie Reversible Tank, the lightweight summer top that gives you two looks in one. Festival, the cabin, the beach, or brunch, Rosalie is ready for it all.

šŸŽ‰ Good news: It’s on promotion until the end of the weekend, so now’s the perfect time to grab yours before summer slips away.
