A BIG ASK: Fashionistas our friends at Oak Table need our help as they work towards replacing a vital piece of kitchen equipment. In the past 15 years, you have been very supportive of our fund raising projects to assist OT in helping those who are food insecure. Our much loved 10 gallon soup kettle died a slow (repaired to no avail) death last week. It has been making meals for over 250 people a day over the last year. This is a huge blow both operationally and financially as it is by far one of the most expensive pieces of equipment in our kitchen. We have a number of people trying to locate a used 20 gallon soup kettle for us, but there is no quick answer as grants often take up to 7 months from application to approval.
