Wendi Whale Have you hugged a whale today? Do you remember as a child that one special toy you had. I do. My great grandma stitched me a teddy bear. With a red fuzzy vest.

I remember pulling it out of the box and giving it a HUGE HUG. There is just something so special about a handmade item or toy. It is so different. So unusual. My hope is that person who acquires one of my hand crafted creations will experience the same thing I did with my one of a kind teddy bear from my great grandma.

I’ve talked to many small business owners who have pivoted so many times during the past year and a half that they are nearly dizzy. Shout out to all my fellow small business friends for hanging on tight in this storm, some of you are still hanging on and others have closed their doors. This has not been fun even though we all continue to put a smile on our faces and press on. 🖤🖤🖤 So I’ve slowed my pace, taken a few steps back to reevaluate my future and at the moment I’m going to pause Wendi Whale. I actually paused about a month or two ago.. but I thought I would make it more official. I’m going to see what other opportunities might come my way and maybe in a few months or whenever .. open my shop back up.
Thanks for all the support throughout the past few years. You’ve helped this small business owner put her children in dance and ninja warrior.. pay a few hydro bills.. etc etc.
I will be keeping this platform. I’ve already shifted it a little. I’m not exactly sure what might become it while I pause my business. I guess time will tell. 🖤 Thanks again to everyone who has supported me.

I miss travelling to other provinces doing markets.. meeting fellow business owners and building community. I’ll always be passionate about Canadian businesses thriving... which is extremely difficult during this time.
