what a great line up our guest enjoyed last night! 1982 Château Léoville Las Cases, Tertre Roteboeuf 2000 and La Conseillante 2000. All drinking fantastically well, but for me the Léoville was the pick of them all! Mature, open and very richly flavoured, full of graphite and black fruit aromas, super smooth palate and a long lingering finish. The Tertre was also amazing, more cassis and sweet black fruit aromas, richer sweeter palate, blackberry and black plum with slightly higher tannins, with the Conseillante bringing up the rear, again richly flavoured, black plum and blackcurrant, but for me just lacked the depth and complexity of the other 2. They also had a Château Mouton Rothschild 1986, but unfortunately that was not a pleasant glass of wine, quite well oxidised, leathery, caramelised and a poor showing from that famous estate.
