Marianne Williamson is a luminous voice in spiritual thought, conscious politics, and transformative healing. For more than four decades, she’s been a leader in spiritually progressive circles. She’s the author of 16 books, four of which have been #1 New York Times best sellers. A quote from the mega-bestseller A Return to Love, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of seekers.

Williamson founded Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that has delivered more than 19 million meals to ill and dying homebound patients in the Los Angeles area since 1989. She has also worked throughout her career on poverty, anti-hunger and racial reconciliation issues. In 2004, she co-founded The Peace Alliance and supported the creation of a U.S. Department of Peace. She’s run for president twice, to add the voice of love into the political conversation. Lace collage for a fall wedding at the - my favorite thing to do is create unique layouts that are specific to each clients body; it creates a little narrative in fabric form. Here, delicate vines intertwine with confidently blooming flowers on separate layers of tulle giving an illusion of a single unit while allowing each piece there space to breathe. Image

A little flashback photo to this look being created in the studio! The overskirt was all hand embroidered with an ombré line up of silk organza with feathers and clear crystals that matched the gown on the dress form behind it- a embroidered with clear beads and feathers over a silk jersey lining: creating this look felt like bringing a day dream to life over the course of many, many months. Sometimes people ask how long it takes and I will say there are some days I can’t bring myself to pick up a thread and needle, while on others I cant bring myself to do much of anything else. Creating in this way, where I’m emotionally invested in the development is directly tied to my mental health and the level of abundance in creative energy and intent I have to pour into a project. In that way, the last two years have been good to slow down and find more balance in my days so that I can be fully present for every collaboration. I’m genuinely so excited to have more moments like this in 2022

Grateful for so many things, including a life that lets me make my day dreams come alive via these tangible creations, for work that allows me to connect with a world wide network of incredible women, for days that get to be spent considering the depths of love, that turn into years of clarifying my own beliefs around intention, ceremony and commitments. Thankful for the beauty that is offered in life, in every moment of every day, and the reminder that we are always in choice about the lens we choose to see the world through.
