recycles punctured bicycle inner tubes and manufactures long lasting wallets, bags and belts since 2006. All items are prepared in Basel by IPek and finished in Budapest by seamstresses with altered working capacity. Balkantango stands for real recycling, less-consume and slow-consume.

Buppaboy, his Maribor wallet and Csili doggie😊 As the family moved to the countryside in a small village, it took about half an hour to find the wallet for the shooting - it is not in daily use anymore - but after more than 10years still around✊

Solidarität heisst Rojava verteidigen 🖤❤️✌️While scrolling through last years' photos, I bumped into this belt bag photographed with my notebook from 2022. So sad that the sticker on it is actual again 😔 This belt bag is not on balkantango's website at the moment but if you want to buy one PM me and I'll donate half of the price to the Kurdish red cross.

Morning müesli & repair 💥♻️✨such an honor to rapair a bag which had seen so much💚 Once I have read, there was a japanese habit to start the day with cleaning (specially with toilet cleaning): it was told to make you more disciplined and focused onto the details. I share this idea and would tell the same about sewing: when I used to spend my days in the balkantango workshop, I fancied the most to start the day with monoton sewing. To put two materials together in a precise way, teaches you to be concentrated and patient. Specially if you start your day by handsewing✨
