Plant story ☘️🌿 Queen Nettle meets some burdock.
Usually I selected the perfect plants for my cyanotype prints. But the small imperfections made these couple unique.
I impressed how Royal the nettle looks.
This is a souvenir from Graubünden Alps.

I shared the reel last august with the sewing process. You need some elastic fabric with some stability. It could be double if your jersey is too light.

Cyanotype on fabric for practical use 🌸☘️
I decided to add some color with free hand machine embroidery on one side and French knots on another side of the pouch.

I love the idea of using solar power to print flowers on fabric in these hot days.

At the moment I am in the house where I grew up, in my beloved garden.

Why do I care?
I feel that animals don’t like plastic, just as I don’t.
I feel that plastic contributes to global warming.
I don’t cope well with the heat and really suffer during heatwaves.

This was an task for and textile course.
Sometimes the right question is better than the answer.
