Meet the artists behind TASONI x Zurich Art Weekend

Mitchell Anderson is an artist interested in how humans store memory and history in existing objects and images, as well as how context impacts their narrative potential and inherent ambiguity. Anderson uses found objects and imagery in a body of work that explores contemporary and historical contradictions, as well as the humor and tragedies of existence. Through a broad multimedia practice, he presents contemplative objects that reflect collective hope and failure, while questioning the narrative capacities and visual codes of both images and physical forms.

Meet the artists behind TASONI x Zurich Art Weekend
bachzetsis is a choreographer and visual artist based in Zurich. Her practice unfolds at the intersection of dance, performance, visual art, and theater, generating a conflation of the spaces in which the body, as both an artistic and critical apparatus, can manifest. Much of Bachzetsis’ work involves choreographies of the body, focusing on the ways in which popular culture provides source material for gesture, expression, identification, and desire as we continually create and recreate our bodies and the ways we identify through them.

Since 2001, she has created more than 30 works, presented at major institutions including Centre Pompidou, MoMA New York, Tate Modern, the Art Institute of Chicago, Kunsthaus Zürich, and documenta 13 and 14.

Meet the artists behind Tasoni x Zurich Art Weekend

(b. 1991, South Korea) is a painter based in Zürich, Switzerland. Her practice explores translation, cultural memory, and the visual language of popular imagery. Drawing from cartoons and mass media, she examines how familiar images shape perception and collective consciousness. Working primarily in painting, she is interested in how images shift in meaning as they circulate across cultural and linguistic contexts. Lee graduated from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and has exhibited internationally.

Meet the artists behind TASONI x Zurich Art Weekend

is a painter and writer born in Lucerne in 1985. Her work explores themes of originality, repetition, authenticity, and appropriation, often through her long-running use of the “Marching Bear” motif derived from the iconography of the rock band Grateful Dead. Braegger has exhibited internationally and is known for transforming a single borrowed image into an expansive conceptual and painterly practice. She earned an MFA in Visual Arts from ECAL in Lausanne in 2015.
