Things To Know As A Solo Traveler
I started as a solo traveler because I couldn’t find a travel partner..Bomber! Friends and Family were either too busy or just couldn’t afford to travel, not that I could but I created a travel fund. Instead of buying coffee everyday I put that money towards my travel expenses. I spent a lot of money on coffee among other things, you would be surprised how much we spend on things everyday that we don’t really need. Airline miles also goes along way.
Traveling alone is not so daunting if you enjoy your own company. Traveling alone I learnt so much about myself. As a solo traveler being in a strange country all by myself, staying in heavily populated places was paramount. When I was in Paris I stayed close to the Eiffel Tower. Waking up in Paris looking through my hotel window and seeing this tall beautiful wrought iron tower on Champ de Mars was priceless.
People were walking around at 2am. People were literally everywhere all the time. That made me feel safe.As a solo traveler its very important to do your proper research before you travel I recommend that you make sure friends and family know your full itinerary from start to finish. Make sure to check in often, 3-4 times a day if possible.
