Dear women, dear friends,

Women’s rights have been fought for politically for generations. Yet in everyday life things often still feel different: in salaries, opportunities and recognition.

As a founder, I feel this tension strongly. I am a very sensitive and empathetic person, yet business often expects leadership to look tough and unshakeable. I believe care, empathy and collaboration should be seen as strengths.

Through Jungle Folk I have the privilege of working with incredible women in Peru. Most of the knitting cooperatives we work with are led by women who support their communities and build independence through their craft.

To honour them this International Women’s Day, we will donate 20% of our sales this weekend to the feminist organisation Centro de la Mujer Peruana Flora Tristán .
