How clean are your filter bags really?
Fluid bed dryer bags are reused countless times in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

What is often underestimated:
Even minimal residues may increase the risk of cross-contamination, support microbial growth or reduce filtration efficiency.

At the same time, blocked filter structures can negatively impact air permeability and process performance.

Cleaning is therefore not just a maintenance task.
It is a critical process step.

In collaboration with experienced textile process filter specialist SEFAR AG, Borer Life Sciences develops most suitable cleaning processes combining application-specific process design with the appropriate deconex® cleaners for textile process filters.

The goal:
✔ reliable residue removal – reducing risk of carry over
✔ material protection – enhancing lifetime of the material
✔ reproducible cleaning performance – simplifying cleaning validation

Investing in the next generation of CSSD professionals.

On 18 and 21 May, we once again welcomed apprentices in Medical Device Technology EFZ to the Borer Competence Center for part of the official inter-company training programme organised by OdA Gesundheit Zürich.

Through hands-on sessions and practical insights into medical device reprocessing, our team had the pleasure of sharing know-how gathered from everyday CSSD practice.

As a long-standing partner to healthcare institutions, we see education and knowledge transfer as an important responsibility. And one we are proud to support together with OdA Gesundheit Zürich.

A big thank you to everyone involved for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout both training days.

The precision behind deconex® doesn’t stop at production. It continues in logistics.

Meet Daniel Kästle, a Logistics Operator at Borer Chemie.

Every deconex® product relies on seamless processes behind the scenes – from incoming goods to internal transport and distribution. Daniel plays a key role in making sure everything is in the right place, at the right time.

Whether handling goods safely, coordinating internal logistics to comply with strict processes and safety standards, his work is essential to the reliability deconex® products are known for.

Because what is created with precision must also move with precision.

Borer Medical stands for more than cleaning solutions.

At SGSV/SSSH 2026 in Biel/Bienne, we will introduce the Borer Competence Lounge – a place for professional exchange around medical device reprocessing.

Inspired by the Borer Competence Center and integrated Test & Training Center in Zuchwil, the concept reflects Borer Medical’s focus on practical know-how, process optimisation and hands-on support for CSSD professionals.

Meet our application specialists, process experts and the sales team for conversations about real-life reprocessing challenges, know-how transfer and hands-on training — accompanied by a Borer signature drink.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Borer Competence Lounge at SGSV/SSSH 2026 on 17–18 June 2026 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.

Practical expertise, technical exchange, and hands-on learning in medical device reprocessing.

On May 19, we had the pleasure of welcoming third-year medical device technology apprentices from Western Switzerland to the Borer Competence Center in Zuchwil. Another opportunity to come together and learn side by side.

Throughout the training day, participants explored topics such as instrument renovation, cleaning chemistry, microbiology in daily CSSD practice and dosing technologies, combining theory with practical demonstrations and laboratory insights.

For Borer Medical, creating opportunities for professional exchange and practical learning is an important part of advancing quality and expertise in medical device reprocessing.

Thank you to Christophe Grange and to all participants for the enriching discussions, the continued trust, and the shared commitment.

The precision behind deconex® is verified before it reaches you.

Meet Miriam Rupprecht, Leader Quality Control at Borer Chemie.
Before any deconex® product leaves the company, it undergoes rigorous testing and validation. Miriam and her team ensure that every batch meets the highest standards – consistently and without compromise.

From batch release and stability testing to analytical monitoring and complaint investigations, her work ensures that quality is not assumed but proven.

Working closely with development and analytics, she helps translate complex data into reliable product information.

Because trust is built on results – and results must be verified.

👉 This is one of the people behind deconex®. Stay tuned to meet more.

International collaboration and professional exchange were at the centre of Rockford Healthcare’s visit to the Borer Competence Center this week. Together with CSSD Managers from healthcare institutions across Ireland, the programme focused on practical and scientific aspects of medical device reprocessing.

Across one and a half intensive days, participants explored topics including instrument contamination, discoloured and rusted instrument treatment, deep cleaning and passivation of stainless-steel medical devices, biofilm removal, cleaning process troubleshooting and reprocessing workflows within the CSSD environment.

Through a combination of presentations, technical discussions and hands-on sessions in our Test & Training Center, scientific principles were directly connected with practical application in daily CSSD operations.
The programme was delivered by specialists from Borer Medical across Product Management, Technical Service and Sales, reflecting our commitment to supporting professional competence through applied expertise and collaborative exchange.

We sincerely thank the Rockford Healthcare team to Robert O'Callaghan, Jonathan Mullen, and Daniel O' Reilly and the participating CSSD professionals Tomasz Sochaj, Pamela Hutchings, and Patricia Keenaghan for the valuable discussions, the trustful collaboration and the continued partnership. We look forward to continuing the exchange.

100 participants. 9 presentations. One shared goal: advancing excellence in medical device reprocessing.

Together with Friesland Kliniken Sanderbusch and Matthias Zens (Head of CSSD), we were delighted to welcome professionals from across the field to this year’s forum which celebrated its 18th edition in 2026. 👏

The programme combined practical insights with forward-looking perspectives on the future of CSSD processes, creating valuable impulses for everyday practice, professional exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue.
In addition to the presentations, the industry exhibition with 14 participating companies once again provided an excellent platform for networking and knowledge sharing.

A heartfelt thank you to all speakers, participants and partners who contributed to another successful event!

The organising team — Dagmar Martini, Matthias Zens, Marion Schäfer and Oliver Boenke and Thorsten Meyer— is already looking forward to continuing the conversation at the next ZSVA Forum Sanderbusch.
