Fabrics To Meet The Challenges Of Extreme Environments

I have been working with industrial fabrics and clothing insulations for over 20 years. My first sleeping bag was made from Mylar. It was warm, but it was so noisy you couldn't sleep. Since my early efforts, I have worked with the National Science Foundation, NASA, the U.S. Marines and DARPA developing advanced insulations for protective clothing, sleeping bags and space missions. In 2011, I began

working on a new kind ofclothing fabric for extreme environments. My vision was that textures

A Material Revolution, 20 Years in the Making

could be molded into the fabric, and these textures could be designed to improve various characteristics, including water resistance, breathability, camouflage, warmth and aerodynamics. Working with experts in the textile industry, methods of creating a 3-D texture in the fabric were developed. In the spring of 2013, we were making fabric with the look and performance that we wanted. We are eager to produce these fabrics for high performance outerwear for sports enthusiasts. We started Lime Coyote for that purpose.

Coming here was so special I had my lightweight, warm and compact vest which was wonderful.
I wished I had better gloves!
We are working on it now to use insulation that we developed for NASA in these gloves!
Can't wait to feel test in some special place soon!

Estamos trabajando en nuestros materiales de aislamiento que hemos desarrollado con NASA para estos guantes.

Here's a prototype of the vests we will make in Project Osprey at Animas High School. We will also give away an equal number of vests to people that can't afford them, just like TOMS does with shoes. YOU could get one free: Just suggest a group, preferably a nonprofit charity group, that needs lightweight outdoor vests, and we will randomly pick some one from the people that participate. Thanks in advance for your suggestions too!
