Vesta cases, sovereign cases, and s***f boxes (all shown above) have fallen out of use with the decline of matches, coins, and s***f. We were attracted to the look and tactility of these Victorian references, so we used them as inspiration to design our own pocketable case for cards (or anything else you can fit inside). The Summit Card Case brings some mechanical satisfaction and material joy to our modern phone-centric daily carry.

Let us know: would you add this to your routine? If not, what's your favorite thing to keep in your pocket?

The ideal measuring device for us didn't exist, so we designed a new one. The Metrolog has the right balance of precision, functionality, and beauty, to make it our go-to 90 percent of the time when we need to take a measurement. We use it everyday and hope it can find a place in your practice too.

Let us know what you think below.

Match Striker (Candle Holder?)

We designed the match striker to hold and strike your matches, but recently realized that it can hold some candles too.

It's a little magic trick for our guests when we pull out a match and strike it on the object holding the candle.

Would you consider using our Match Striker this way?

Kevin's Tour de Chamfer

Drop your favorite chamfers below. We'll try to find them next time we pull out the chamfer tray.

No matter how much testing we do in studio, there will always be surprises when we release a design and begin to use it in our lives. It's been over half a year since we shipped V3 of the Summit Card Case and here are three things we've noticed through daily use:

1) The slip joint closure is more than we expected. Not only does it keep the case securely closed, but it is so satisfying to use that we often find ourselves meditatively playing with it during our commutes and at our desks.

2) The smooth and rounded metal form makes the case way easier to slide in and out of our pocket (compared to your traditional leather card wallet). If we're rushing to catch a subway, the Summit comes out easily without dragging anything with it or catching on our pants. We went with rounded corners primarily because it looked nice - the functional benefit has been a pleasant surprise.

3) For better or worse, now we get asked about our wallet all the time. Some people think it's an old iPod, others think it's a lighter. The best moment is handing it to the inquisitive cashier or bartender and watching them interact with the object for the first time.

There are no negatives yet (which is rarely the case), but that's what happens when you iterate 3 times on a product over 5 years. If you have feedback from your use of the Summit, drop it below. We'll take it into account for V4.

Despite the realities of living under modern surveillance technology, we are proud to finally announce — on our own terms — that our highly classified collab with .ny launches this Friday, March 20.

We’ve labored under the watchful electric eye to discover how best to infuse their signature Hidden Green into our favorite everyday objects. Countless hours, gallons of Plasti-Dip, and one destroyed reptilian mobile spy unit later, we can report that we’ve done it, and that OpSec remains tight.

Stay tuned to Craighill and Hidden official channels for up-to-the-minute intel on how to get your hands on the Hidden x Craighill drop.
