Autumn is one of my favorite seasons and the warmth it brings, in the city or in nature. It’s also often considered the start of the cultural season in many cities (which is very much where I live). Theatres reopen with new productions, ballet companies begin their seasons, philharmonics return from summer break, and galleries launch new exhibitions. So while it’s not an official “rule,” it’s true in spirit and tradition, autumn really is the time when the arts come alive again.
