Modern Jazz:
Jazz dancing is energetic and fun, consisti
ng of the most trendy and funky moves and other times more sophisticated and extravagant. A regular jazz class begins with a thorough warm-up leading in a series of stretching exercises, followed by jumps, leaps and finally into a dance combination.
Τα μαθήματα χορού τζαζ αποτελούνται από κινήσεις γεμάτες ενέργεια, τις περισσότερες φορές ακολουθώντας τα μουσικά ρεύματα της εποχής όπως π.χ. χιπ-χοπ αλλά και ακούσματα από γνωστές μελωδίες των μιούζικαλ. Ένα μάθημα τζαζ αρχίζει συνήθως μ’ένα πολύ καλό ζέσταμα, ακολουθούν ασκήσεις ευλυγισίας (stretching), πηδήματα, άλματα και μια σύντομη χορογραφία στο τέλος. Tap:
Tap is an exciting and vigorous form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns, in other words the feet become a musical instrument! Kids and adults tap dance for fun and exercise, as tap dancing builds aerobic fitness as well as muscle control.
Στο tap -ή άλλως κλακέτες- ο χορευτής φοράει ειδικά παπούτσια με ειδικά μέταλλα (taps) εφαρμοσμένα στη σόλα του παπουτσιού. Ο χορευτής χρησιμοποιεί τα πόδια του σαν μουσικό όργανο για να δημιουργήσει ρυθμικούς συνδυασμούς. Το tap απαιτεί καλή φυσική κατάσταση. Παιδιά αλλά και ενήλικες επιλέγουν αυτό το είδος χορού γιατί προσφέρει αερόβια άσκηση, καλό μυικό έλεγχο και συνάμα είναι σούπερ διασκεδαστικό! Theatre Craft:
This most exciting dance form encompasses the wide spectrum of productions that are Musical Theatre. Shows like Grease, My Fair Lady, Bombay Dreams, The Lion King etc all diverse styles but all embraced by the Theatre Craft Title. A dance form for theatrical performance, preparing the body physically through exercise and stimulating artistic ability through dance movement, improvisation and interpretation of music. The use of hand props, make up and much more - it provides all the 'must have' qualities for today's amateur and professional dancer.
