When people see our leather grips, they usually notice the stitching.

Fair enough. That’s the star of the show.

But before we can assemble the grips, we have to prepare all the pieces that make the final product feel complete.

Including these leather grip ends.

One of the reasons we love working with leather is that it can be shaped into almost anything. You just need to figure out how.

And that’s where Marek comes in.

He’s always looking for ways to improve our Brompton accessories and make the process a little better than yesterday. Over the years, he has made countless jigs, tools, and little workshop gadgets that help us create more consistent results.

This tool is one of them.

It helps him shape the perfect grip end every time.

If you listen closely, you can even hear the water being squeezed out of the leather as it takes its final shape.

We love sharing these little behind the scenes moments because most people only ever see the finished product on their Brompton.

Most Brompton accessories arrive in a box.

You install them, use them every day, and rarely think about where they came from.

But behind our leather accessories for Brompton is just the two of us - Marketa and Marek.

Marek is stamping our logo into the leather today, just like he has done thousands of times before. Every products passes through his hands before it ever reaches a Brompton somewhere in the world.

We started making Brompton accessories because Marek could not find the leather products he wanted for his own bike. What began with one cyclist looking for a better solution slowly grew into our family workshop.

That is why we enjoy sharing these little moments from behind the scenes. Not just the finished products on beautiful Brompton, but also the people, tools, mistakes, ideas, and stories behind them.

Because when you know who made something, it somehow feels different.

Quite a few people have contacted us with the same concern.

“I love the bag... but I am worried someone will take it when I leave my bike outside.”

And honestly, we get it. A beautiful leather saddle bag tends to attract attention.

In a way, hearing that was quite a compliment 😄 But it also got us thinking.

What if you could simply take the bag with you when stopping for coffee, lunch, or a quick trip to a shop?

That is how our Quick Release Saddle Bag came to life.

No tools. No straps. Just a quick click off when you leave your bike and a quick click back on when it is time to ride again.

Sometimes the best product ideas do not come from us sitting in the workshop. They come directly from conversations with customers and small everyday situations that every cyclist knows.

Most people only see the finished Brompton accessory.
But for us, filming the process is something we really enjoy too.

When we first started sharing videos, we naturally filmed mostly workshop moments like this because we genuinely love the process of making things by hand and working with tools as well. The smell of leather, the machines, the little details… all of it.

But lately we have also been trying to show more rides, more Brompton content, more everyday moments, and how our leather accessories actually become part of daily life outside the workshop too.

One of our customers showed us this wallet after more than 6 years of everyday use and honestly… we could not stop looking at it.

The leather became darker, softer, full of little marks and character from years of being carried around every single day. And somehow it looked even better than when Marek made it.

Moments like this make us so happy because this is exactly why Marek started working with full grain leather in the first place. We never wanted to make products people throw away after two years. We wanted them to become part of everyday life and slowly age together with their owner.

And seeing that happen after 6 years is just the best feeling.
