Next step in my research: I’ve sourced several meters of various h**p blends to really get a feel for the material’s potential. My goal is to gather as much data as possible, comparing everything from "bulletproof" stiff fabrics to softer variants more suited for high-end fashion.
Check out this specific sample:
It’s a 50% H**p / 50% Cotton blend, weighing in at 19.6 oz (Unsanforized).
To give you an idea of the hand-feel: even raw, it feels as beefy and rigid as a 25 oz 100% cotton fabric. Once this hits the water and shrinks, it’s going to be an absolute beast. The reverse side is incredibly rough and scratchy—definitely next-level territory for the "heavyweight" purists.
I’ll be the guinea pig for this one. I'm planning to document the whole journey—the break-in process, the comfort (or lack thereof, haha), and of course, how those high-contrast fades look after 6 months of hard wear.
