In 2019, during the COVID crisis, our small team gave everything we had — our money, energy, and hearts — to bring Soto Berlin back to life. It wasn’t easy. Between the pandemic, the economic downturn, and countless challenges, we still managed to reopen the doors at Torstrasse 72 with just a few hands and a lot of love, after taking over the Soto Store Berlin brand from Caliroots.
Step by step, we rebuilt the brand. Through hard work, dedication, and support from our community, Soto returned — stronger than ever and once again recognized in the fashion scene.
When Soto was back on its feet, we set out to expand — across Europe and beyond. To make that happen, we partnered with a larger company that promised to support that growth.
We trusted them and handed over full management, believing they would respect and continue what we had built. But it didn’t turn out that way. The spirit, the care, and everything we worked for was lost. The partner that was meant to support Soto’s growth ended up tearing it down.
To all of you — our friends, customers, and community — thank you. Thank you for standing with us since 2020. We say goodbye with love and heavy hearts. Maybe one day, we’ll meet again.
For now, we leave everything in the hands of the court, the prosecutor’s office, and God. 🙏🏻
