BLACK FRIDAY? No, Thanks.

Our online store will be closed from Friday 24/11 until Saturday 25/11 at 10 a.m. to show our discontent with this date and what it represents, which is exactly the opposite of our philosophy. We prefer to encourage awareness about our consumption habits and promote change.

Black Friday is a very toxic day, not only for the environment, but also for thousands of workers who’s work and efforts made during the production of each item is being diminished. We don’t support unnecessary overproduction and overconsumption provoked by discount madness. Every purchase we make has an impact on people and our planet, so if we want to keep it safe for humankind to live in it, we need to reconsider our consumption behavior and be conscious about the constant damage we are doing to it.

We know that overconsumption cannot be reduced to Black Friday only. The world in which we live in is constantly promoting this kind of behavior all year long, and we cannot have our store closed 365 days to make our statement, so we chose this date to make our point. Remember that for you to get those “great deals”, someone, somewhere, is suffering and paying the price for it. Nothing is free in this world.

Our planet needs our cooperation, today and everyday. We need to become more conscious consumers, keeping in mind the consequences and impact that every purchase we make has on our environment and our society as a whole.

This BLACK FRIDAY Instead of spending time searching for “amazing deals”, let’s take a moment to reflect on our own consumer behavior and how we can become more responsible about it.
