Here's Izzy, who joined the market last year, with her brand IJ's :-
"I'm Izzy, a Leighton Buzzard-based illustrator. I hand-paint patterns for a range of homeware products, including cushions, bags, tea towels and mugs, with an option for bespoke design. I like to bring a smile to people's faces with the humorous, quirky designs, transferring them onto products which can be used in everyday life. I love being a part of the historic market, interacting with customers, seeing their reactions and just generally chatting to people of all ages, from all backgrounds, about life. It is a refreshing experience in such a digital world. I supply my products to boutique hotels in the Middle East and WHSmith; my dream is for my brand, IJ's, to grow and reach as many people as possible."
Come along to our Leighton Buzzard Young Traders competition to see the future of markets, Tuesday 16th May, alongside the usual Charter Market in the High St and as part of our celebrations 👍
