New Pattern by Isabell Kraemer in ITO Shimo

The CLOUDESLEY sweater features a beautiful slip stitch pattern on the back and the bottom front. It's a lightweight sweater great for spring and fall - you only need 150g-300g for the short sleeve version and 200g-350g ITO Shimo for the long arm version. ITO Shimo is a woolen spun mix of wool and silk, that blooms up and softens nicely after washing. We recommend choosing a light color for this design, so that the slip stitch pattern shows well.

Are you looking for some interesting summer knitting? Sansho is the new design by in ITO Kinu (silk) and ITO Washi (paper, rayon), a perfect combination for warm days. And yes, you can (hand)wash Japanese paper yarn!

New: ITO Nui

ITO Nui is a spun silk thread ideal for sewing, quilting and embroidery. It can be used for both hand work and machine work. You can also use it as an add-on thread for knitting to achieve marled effects or subtle color change.
The spun silk has a soft sheen. 2 plies are twisted for optimal strength to a thickness of 2/60 NM (30 wt). The glossy, slightly pearly texture lends itself beautifully to surface designs like quilting, free motion embroidery, applique, top stitching or outlining. ITO Nui will give strong seams to sewing projects and is a sustainable alternative to polyester thread. Available in 64 colors.

New: ITO Iki

ITO Iki is a fine filament silk thread for hand embroidery, stitching, applique or as an add-on thread for knitting.
The mulberry silk has an unsurpassable sheen and unique softness. Six filaments are loosely plied to a thickness of 1/71 NM or 21/6 Tram. Very fine embroidery lines and silk shading effects can be achieved by using a single thread or even splicing the thread. Multiple threads are used for stronger lines and filling areas (usually 2-8 strands). Traditionally multiple strands are also twisted by hand to achieve a different texture. Threads of different colors can be nicely blended and fine color transitions realized. ITO Iki is available in 32 colors.
