Silk Colours on silk

The Year of the Horse is not subtle.
It brings speed, action, movement, and momentum.

• Things will happen quickly.
• Opportunities will appear suddenly.
• Emotions may escalate faster than expected.

How you move matters more than how fast you move.
The Horse represents action, instinct, and forward motion. But, in all of this, the horse never overthinks.
It moves from intuition, memory and embodied knowing, not mental logic.

This is not a year to act just because something is available. If you move without listening, you may burn bridges. If you decide without embodiment, you may burn yourself out. Intuition is not optional in 2026, it is your basic protection.

Before you say yes.
Before you chase.
Before you react.
Pause and feel.
If your body tightens, wait.
If your body settles, move.

How do I express femininity through colour, water and fabric? 🎨

To complement my fashion exhibition I AM…, I wanted to paint three pictures that explore the image of women.

For me, feminine energy is flexible and soft, yet so powerful that it can sweep everything away like a raging river.

Silk is a dreamily soft, supple, and undeniably beautiful fabric. At the same time, it is a robust and durable natural fiber. The combination of liquid silk dyes on white silk became my artistic means of expressing these images of women.

Wie drücke ich Weiblichkeit mit Farben, Wasser und Stoff aus? 🎨

Passend zu meiner Mode-Ausstellung I AM… wollte ich 3 Bilder malen, die sich mit dem Frauenbild befassen.

Für mich ist weibliche Energie flexibel und weich und trotzdem so kraftvoll, dass sie wie ein reißender Fluss alles niederreißen kann.

Seide ist als Stoff traumhaft weich, geschmeidig und unverkennbar schön. Gleichzeitig ist sie eine robuste und langlebige natürliche Faser. Die Verbindung von flüssigen Seidenfarben auf weißer Seide wurde für mich zum künstlerischen Ausdrucksmittel der Frauenbilder.

By empowering each other, recognizing that we are enough, instead of competing. When women unite and support one another, we can liberate ourselves from imposed beauty ideals and embrace our uniqueness. I AM... is about breaking free from imposed images of womanhood and discovering yourself. ✨

Wie können wir Frauen selbstbestimmt und frei von auferlegten Rollen der Gesellschaft leben?

Indem wir uns gegeseitig darin bestärken, dass wir genug sind, statt zu konkurieren. Wenn wir Frauen zusammen halten und uns unterstützen, dann können wir uns von den auferlegten Schönheitsidealen befreien und können unsere Einzigartigkeit leben.
I AM... ist die Loslösung von aufgezwungenen Frauenbildern und das Finden zu dir selbst.

I AM exhibition: Growing up with diﬀerent expectations from society, fashion and the media, women are confronted with various roles throughout their lives. What are these roles and to what extent are they imposed or voluntarily accepted? What would remain if
women were to break free from all these roles?

In the exhibition I AM, Thien Huynh, designer of the slow fashion label l’amour est bleu, explores the changing role of women in today’s world. From 5 to 15 March 2026, Gallery Malina created a space where fashion, performance, audience interaction and events were used to examine and discuss the image of women from diﬀerent perspectives.
