Last addition of handmade unique pieces from Guatemalan artisans to our MERCADITU ! 🐵 🦚

This time we focused on wooden animal masks and figurines handmade by Artesanias Santo Tomás, a craftsman workshop from Chichicastenango.

In ancient Mayan society, masks played a vital role in everyday life. Adorned with faces of divine beings and sacred animals, Mayan masks were used in religious rituals and important ceremonies.
