Stokx, in Haus Schwarzenberg, Berlin since 1998 added the Stokx Shop in 2006. Though it is not easy to locate, those lucky enough to accidentally discover the Stokx Shop easily find their way back again and again - for now 7 years. Simple directions: From the street at Rosenthaler Str. 39, walk through the unrenovated alley into the second courtyard, straight ahead up two flights of a graffiti covered stairwell and open the glass door to the right. You have arrived at the Stokx Shop and Studio. Designed for men and women, the product collection is distinguished by a growing selection of integrated modern classics.

This digital passport idea is a
MASSIVE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!

The self congratulatory nature of those celebrating this are doing so because they are unable to see the bigger picture.
Or they are looking forward to a cosy job as a bureaucrat.
Because there are very REAL jobs in the clothing branch that actually add value.
I am reminded of the Bonfire of the Vanities

The plastic waste and parallel the destruction of European supply chains will not be sorted by these passports.
Where are we? Not yet in Utopia.. still in late capitalism last time I looked.
As someone who has stood on the front line for over 20 years… I know that customers rarely know the difference between polyester and Polyamide.
They do notice the colour.
The majority think they want natural fibers but don’t want to iron anything or handwash their clothing?

This is because in the last 3 decades clothing has become cheaper and cheaper.
Production moved eastward. First to the former eastern block and then to those countries with no labour laws.
When money couldn’t be saved on labour the fabrics became cheaper.
This process took 30 + years
DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK 30 years of economic mono culture can be sorted with these forms?
And by the way… where are the recycling facilities in Europe?
Why are scientists not involved ?

This is how you can design for sustainability.
Reinforced pockets last longer.
Fix it before it breaks .
This is common sense, nevertheless these steps are often not included.
These methods take longer, yet the resulting garment is a durable garment that can last for years.
Here the material is 100% cotton Rip stop.
This respects the materials so this garment wont end up on a beach in Ghana.

I now have a second pair of uni coloured “Cone pants”
In 100%cotton rip stop. I love their Gengis Khan vibe mixed with the “ blue stocking “vibe. They are a hacked playpants derivative.
This simple elongated Kim hack is the mid length coat I didn’t know I needed.
I wore the *
underneath. The all navy created a sensible look … nothing if not sensible here .

*not yet a pattern- the collar construction is a bastard.
