If we haven’t met yet, let me introduce myself properly. My name is Angelika Kauffmann. I am a haute couture fashion designer, and I run my independent studio from Düsseldorf. 🤍
I think people sometimes have a romanticized idea of what a designer’s life looks like. They see the runway, the applause, the models, and the final, polished collection. But the truth is, the real action happens right here in the atelier. It’s a very hands-on, grounded existence. Every piece starts as a completely abstract thought or a sketch on a piece of paper, and it takes weeks of physical labor, trial, and error to make it real.
It’s a journey from the silence of creation to the energy of the debut. For me, fashion is a lifelong passion, and being able to create couture pieces that bring art into everyday life is an incredible privilege. ✨
