Arctic Flamingo was never part of a grand plan 😱

It started by accident! I definitely didn’t have a big vision to build a business, and certainly not a clothing one. I just wanted to create a product for myself that I couldn’t find on the market. (But achtung! That was back in 2015/2016, the yoga clothing market was SO different back then.)

I was on maternity leave with my first child when I started sewing for myself. Now I think I was a classic case: when you’re home with a small child, you start doing things your heart quietly beats for 💕

My heart was drawn to my beloved hobby, yoga, and the idea of creating a playful, eye-catching product that felt as sustainable as possible 😚

No, they haven't been to the moon... but they

🦩Are locally made in Germany for Arctic Flamingo

🦩 Have soft high waist. Just-right leg length (not too short, not too long).

🦩 Are made with bio-based nylon from castor oil (instead of petroleum 💀)

And yes, they are great for Biergarten, too! 🍻 I've tested 😋

👀 Looking back at 2024 and sharing some behind-the-scenes moments from Arctic Flamingo.

The most important one? Of course the number 10! 😱

1. I introduced a new products for men and had fun coming up with names for the them 🤭

2. Can't decide if I hate it or love it.

3. I spent the whole of June moving the online shop from WooCommerce to Shopify. While doing that, I went through old photos from the early days of Arctic Flamingo. This one must be from 2018!

4. Last year, I tried to get used to filming myself, but honestly, it’s so awkward - so I guess I’ll just leave it to Gen Z! 😅😄

5. In spring, I took a yoga photography course with the amazing which gave me lots of inspiration for my photoshoots. Here with in Munich.

6. A little experiment with photo lamps indoors – what a hassle! Lamps, cabels, bad light... In the end, I decided outdoor shoots in natural daylight are the way to go. Better lights, more flexibility, less costs and way less schlepping 👊

7. I was happy to be a small part of Weilheim Macht Yoga with Ines from and Oliver from – and this year, I’m excited to be an even bigger part of .macht.yoga

8. What wouldn’t he do for me? 💖😃

9. Wherever I go, I’m always spotting great locations for upcoming yoga photoshoots! The only problem? Later I might not remember where they were... Do you know where this is?

10. I decided, it’s time for something new! 🫡
