...on Saturday, October 4th I opened up my little hat shop.
It’s still so hard to believe that it has been that long already.
Everything was freshly painted white that day. From the walls to the hat stands, from the furniture to the wooden floor, we finished just in time for the opening with a lot of helping hands. The smell of varnish surrounded us that day.
I had interested customers in the shop that day, but no real sales except some pieces sold to family and friends.
I could feel that not everyone believed in it as much as I did.
The first real sales happened the Monday after and I still remember my mum's reaction over the phone. You could hear her relief.
Fast forward 17(!) years and a thousand stories later I am again opening the doors to my shop on a Saturday the 4th. Happy that I am still able to work in this beautiful world of hatmaking and with so many lovely people I can call my customers.
Thank you for making this possible!
