Meaning that, rather than pushing out an entire, short-lived, trend-seeking collection twice a year, Muse will constant,-and,-consistently design & release new material that won't go out of style, always in our typical, superb, handmade quality. This way, every new Muse piece will add (just like it is when accumulating a truly great wardrobe)to the pre-existing ones instead of replacing them. Every prototype-piece of the collection has been put to the test to ensure that it doesn’t “just” look amazing, but is also a pleasure to wear. The pieces of the collection are then offered in some sizes and for custom-tailoring, to fit the measurements & preferences of each individual. After following the illustrated instructions for taking precise measurements at Muse Couture's online Store , all CUSTOMers have the distinct opportunity to order their “one-of-a-kind”(Einzelstück) piece. Some pieces will be available in several colours (of both fabric and leather), which can be mixed & matched individually. It is also possible to screen-print almost any motive of choice onto the chosen fabric (leather-printing techniques are currently being explored&refined), which, like absolutely everything else, is handmade at Muse Couture's studio in Hamburg, St. Disclaimer: PRICELESS
MuSe loves animals and supports the fight against animal cruelty all over the world, i.e. It is one of Muse's top-priorities that no animal has to suffer or die solely to provide the leather for our pieces! We chose leather that is either vintage, meaning that it was at some point procured by someone else for something else and would otherwise have been wasted (which seems to be adding insult to injury) or it comes from farms, habitats, missions, resorts and other places where the animals died of natural causes. That might still not be sufficient for some, but after substantial contemplation in search for a conscientious middle way, that does not cause any more animals to suffer or to be killed, this felt like the best way to go. Unfortunately, an intact conscience is not reconcilable with the concept of large-scale production, which is one of the reasons why every item is made to order and custom tailored. Another reason ist that Muse remains exclusive, able to offer extraordinary, handmade quality while maintaining artistic integrity. Muse is not the place to get cheap heaps of stuff, cause someone or something else always has to pay fot that. Afterall, some things remain “priceless”….
