Designed around the rhythm of light. ✨

Transcendent Light joins the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 winners, bringing office and hospitality spaces into one cohesive architectural expression while giving each its own distinct flow.

Geometry and natural light create a sense of rhythm and order, shaping an environment that reflects the balance between rationality and emotion while embodying the corporate spirit and projecting a professional image.

By harmonizing with the surrounding greenery, the building enhances the urban landscape and invites architecture to be experienced through the interplay of light.

Designed for rest. Built for care. 🤍

CELLTRON CIRCULATION CHAIR takes its place among the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 winners, bringing therapeutic support into the familiar form of a lounge chair.

Built around the concept of “Whispering Rest,” the design creates a calm setting for seniors during rest and sleep. Electrotherapy and sound wave therapy support blood circulation and help ease muscle tension without turning the chair into a visibly clinical object.

Its reclining form fits naturally into living spaces, combining medical function with a quiet, comfortable presence.

Care, shaped for rest.

The role of a designer changes when leadership begins.

The skills that help designers create great work are not always the same skills needed to lead teams and influence organizations.

Design leaders need to expand their toolkit, from solving problems to guiding decisions, aligning perspectives and creating the conditions for others to succeed.

Growth in design leadership comes from continuously learning, adapting and evolving with the role.

What skill did you have to develop when you stepped into leadership?

Tea time above the clouds. ☁️

Taniroku Saka joins the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 winners, turning a cookie shop into an elevated tea-time experience inspired by a sea of clouds at the mountaintop.

Located on Mt. Sanada, a historic hill where samurai lord Yukimura Sanada once built a castle, the shop transforms the site’s hilltop setting into a playful architectural concept. Soft forms and a cloud-inspired atmosphere evoke the feeling of enjoying tea and sweets while looking out over a sea of clouds.

A little hilltop escape, reimagined for tea time.

Discovering balance through play. 💜🛞

Woom WOW rolls into the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 spotlight, redefining the first cycling experience with the world’s first self-balancing ride-on bike for toddlers.

Designed for children as young as nine months, woom WOW transforms learning to ride into an intuitive experience. Its self-stabilizing “wobble” effect mimics real bike dynamics, helping children develop balance and a natural connection to cycling.

With a lightweight aluminum frame, recycled materials and carefully considered proportions, the design creates a joyful experience for children and parents. Even the packaging becomes part of the adventure, turning the first unboxing moment into a playful discovery with Buddy, the accompanying plush companion.

A design that turns learning to ride into a joyful experience.

Design that creates access. 🩵

Stackable Wheelchair ver.2 by Adachi Clinic Kobe joins the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 winners, rethinking wheelchair design to make public spaces more accessible for everyone.

While many public facilities have become wheelchair accessible, wheelchairs are not always designed for compact storage and easy access. Stackable Wheelchair ver.2 rethinks this experience, helping people with different physical strengths access public spaces more easily.

Low-rebound cushions help distribute pressure evenly to reduce fatigue, while puncture-proof tires provide a smooth and stable ride. With soft rounded forms, matte finishes and over 200 color options, each wheelchair can reflect the user's personality.

A design that proves accessibility goes beyond spaces and starts with the people who use them.
