For Chicago natives and long time fans of the Bulls and Michael Jordan, the statue of "His Airiness" stands as one of the most well-known monuments in the Windy City. While many might know of the statue, few might know of its official name, "The Spirit.“ On the sculpture's feet, the Air Jordan 9. In tribute to this monument, Jordan Brand is releasing the Air Jordan 9 Retro „The Spirit“. The shoe features a white base with a "Milita Green" contrast that is used to mimic the hue of the statue. Instead of giving Russell Westbrook a signature basketball performance shoe, Jordan Brand has decided to co-sign on Westbrook’s fashion by giving him a Lifestyle silhouette. Having elements from the classic Air Jordan 11 that are found on the side panels, as well as having an Air Jordan 1-like build, there are also custom lace jewels that read ‘WHY’ and ‘NOT?’ in Gold, finished with Westbrook’s signature on the inner tongue and crest print on the insoles.This colorway of the Jordan Westbrook 0 is fully dressed in an all-Red color scheme that has groves and textures throughout the build, finished with a White vulcanized sole.
