A little behind the scenes of the Snuggle Me! Clutch. Currently writing the pattern and the test knit call is coming to my stories very soon, so follow along if that’s something you’d be interested in.
The green one is finished, for the pink one i still need to find the right lining fabric. Once i have that i’ll document the sewing steps properly so the pattern instructions are as clear as possible.

How to: measuring gauge on bouclé yarn.
Getting an accurate gauge on bouclé yarn is genuinely one of the trickier things in knitting. All those fuzzy loops and texture make it hard to see where one stitch ends and another begins. The best approach is to work a generous swatch, block it the same way you’d treat the finished garment and then use this little trick to get a reliable count.

The Cozy in Ruffles Pillow, one of my favorite pieces from the x booklet.

Worked seamlessly in the round with ruffles all the way around, it’s one of those projects that’s as fun to knit as it is to have on your sofa. The ruffle detail sounds complicated but once you get the rhythm it’s genuinely satisfying to work.

Snippets from yesterday.
Mainly working on the red sweater. I had separated an earlier version at the yoke to reknit it and then grafted everything back together with kitchener stitch. Hoping blocking will even it all out. What do you think, will it work?
