Join our exciting volunteer project in the beautiful hills of Nagarkot! We’re building stone and wood houses, a natural pond, a sauna, and an event hall, and we need your help. In exchange for your support, we offer free accommodation in nearby bungalows and two warm vegetarian meals (Nepali dal bhat) each day.
Spend your days working with nature—digging, moving stones, building walls, and preparing bamboo and timber—and enjoy evenings surrounded by stunning mountain views and a vibrant community. With no fees or deposits required, this is a great opportunity to be part of something special.
Stay with us for a minimum of two weeks, and let’s create something extraordinary together!

Our first phase of construction will take place from the end of October until the end of November, focusing on essential groundwork and structural preparation. This phase involves heavy landscaping, digging, stonework, wood preparation, and foundational building to set the stage for the next stages of development. Here’s what we’ll be working on:
Landscaping and Earthwork
Digging and Stone Moving: Extensive groundwork to reshape the land and create flat surfaces.
Stairway Construction: Building the basic structure for stairs to connect different levels of the property.
Rice Field Transformation: Flattening out the rice terraces to create stable platforms for future foundation work.
Pond and Pool Construction: Utilizing the river that flows through the property to create a large natural fish pond. We will also build a swimming pool with an artificial waterfall for relaxation and aesthetic appeal.
Foundation and Structural Work
Stone and Cement Walls: Building durable walls and laying the foundations for key structures, including the house, sauna, and event hall.
Brickwork: Erecting walls for infrastructure to support the overall layout of the property.
Woodwork and Timber Preparation
Cutting and Shaping Wood: We have secured 500 cubic feet of full-round trees. These will be cut into poles and boards to be used in the construction of the house, sauna, and event hall.
Bamboo Work and Roofing
Bamboo Preparation: Harvesting bamboo and treating it with borax to ensure durability and pest resistance. The treated bamboo will be used for roofing elements across the structures.
This initial phase will demand significant effort, with a focus on moving heavy materials and preparing essential components. These early steps will ensure that the foundations are in place for smooth progress in the later construction stages, creating a solid base for our long-term vision.
