WEEKEND BRUNCH INSPO LOOK
: jeans can serve an outfit in two ways, casual vibes or toning down a smart vibe. Here they are doing the later. Distressed mum jeans tend to work better when you want that smart with raw confidence look.

: I’m not a lover of black but when it comes with this much detail you have to give in(peplum, side bow, one-shoulder). Always pay attention to the details on things that serve as your basics. The more elevated your basics are, the unique looks you can achieve

Jeans: The sweet benefit of a darker denim is it can pass for something more smart/formal compared to the traditional blue denim. Weekend brunch, errands running, Sunday best, or even the ordinary chilling are just some of the ideas that come to mind for this f**t. Keeping with the mood of the season, we have an embroidered floral pattern adding more interest to our base.

Top: Kept it neutral but structured again! Our base is doing all the talking… A great tip for denim would be to pair with slightly more delicate fabrics/patterns - this is for adding the “smart” to an otherwise casual vibe. This could be satin/silk/lace/organza/mesh… etc.

Blazer: To not have a “bottom-heavy” perception with everything else flat-toned, we added this pinstriped, double-breasted blazer! It’s not as loud as the embroidered denim, but it is strong enough to add another layer of confidence and style. The gold buttons actually contribute to our upcoming layers of accessories…

Accessories: You should always see this step as an expansion opportunity for your canvas. This means we can either continue the tone and mood we have built on our look or, introduce some opposites/contrasts. On this occasion, we are continuing the mood of floral, gold, feminine, semi-pastel, etc. I also do love keeping to one metal tone on an outfit which is exactly what has happened here… everything becomes in sync without looking tacky (& it was actually accidental).

Skirt: A placeholder for the excitement and preparation towards ! It’s bright, busy and bold - all the feelings we get with the promising good weather and symbolisms spring brings. P.S. hold your horses though, Spring is not until Sunday March 20th…

Top: We kept it neutral but structured so as to not create any visual conflict with our busy skirt. Of course neutrals are to love for their versatility and build-ability. The off-shoulder detail also carries through the femininity the corset detail is serving which we love!

Coat: Truth is, Spring doesn’t mean Summer! So we do have to keep you warm. So whilst we are styling you warm, why not be extra with a long plush fur textured coat. Hang one side off the shoulder if you get too hot.

Accessories: You can call these compliments and representatives of the season! Colourful and textured with a lil sass in the lenses!

Cape Coat: I don’t see enough people rocking these and I’m not sure why. They are versatile, practical and so cool looking. This particular one is giving trench coat vibes making it practical and stylish for this practical look.

Pants: I will always be in favour of high-waisted pants and vertical lines, especially combined. Though busy in this particular piece (depends who’s talking or asking), it’s still elongating, structured and practical. All the features needed to start the new week strong.

Jumper: We have taken our jumper again to dilute as well as carry through the colours from our pants. I always advise to anyone wanting to get comfortable with patterns, prints & colours to start with making use of colours already existing in the pattern/print

Accessories: This particular chain is just a placeholder tbh... a showcase of the potentials of a v-neck when it comes to jewellery styling. The rest of the accessories are solid-coloured/neutral for a reason. Complimenting but not adding to what is already a busy base.

Wide-Leg Corduroy: These are the go-to pants when you want to feel upright, strong and ready for what the day is bringing! The high-waist and horizontal lines features are really the fuel to feeling “empowered” in these pants. Also the perfect features for

Tops: With the bottom offering so much detail, not much effort is necessary with the top half. Then again, the effort available from your wardrobe wouldn’t be a crime either... like this couture-gathered-white-ballon-sleeved-one-shoulder blouse - a mouthful I know.

Coat: I know this much colour is not for all. But for those that it is for, enjoy & be inspired!

Accessories: With such a colourful and detailed base, some classic need to be introduced. I chose all black accessories. Even some sunglasses to keep up the empowerment✌🏾
