During the D&J event in Bangalore, we were proud to have Nirmala on stage sharing her experience with regenerative agriculture in practice - as one of the farmers from RaddisCotton herself.🌱
Four years ago, when Nirmala joined Raddis, she was eager to learn more about regenerative agriculture and believed it could create a meaningful impact on her life, her soil, and her village.
She began experimenting by growing pineapple alongside cotton, along with cashew and sapota trees, and vegetables such as lady finger, tomatoes, and chilies 🍍🍅🌶️
And just look at the greenery now 💚
It makes us incredibly happy to see Nirmala standing proudly amidst the change she has created - a thriving diversity of plants, rejuvenating soil, and biodiversity that is steadily returning 🐝🌿
Even during the off-season, before the start of a new cotton cycle, her fields remain lush and green 🌱💚
Inspired by the regenerative farming training from the team, she now also runs a local NPM (Non-Pesticide Management) shop, creating an additional source of income for her family 🤝
She prepares natural formulations such as Ghanajeevamrutham, Panchagavya, and other bio-inputs at affordable prices for farmers who may not have the time or resources to prepare them on their own.
This is the power of regenerative agriculture - combined with patience, learning, and trust
